Review: RUSSIAN APE MEN FROM SPACE by Brannon Hollingsworth
This story combines three of my most favorite topics: Lovecraft Mythos, Antarctica, and Space, and does so in a fashion that is both humorous and heartwarming (okay, and horrifying). Four sentient creatures, the product of Russian genetic engineering, were sent into space, but during return, their vessel was knocked out of orbit, crash landing on Antarctica, or more precisely--below Antarctica, in the Inner Sea-home of exiled Atlanteans --and the feared Deep Ones, controlled by Dagon. Ape men vs. Atlantean warriors vs. Deep Ones and a tentacle monster. Yet hope springs eternal!
